CHPT Upcoming Events!

2024 History Forum – Tuesday, November 12 at 6:00 p.m.

In partnership with the Nesbitt Memorial Library, CHPT will host the 2024 History Forum on Tuesday, November 12, 2024. The forum will be held in the Buddy Rau Room of the Stafford Opera House starting at 6:00 p.m. This year’s topic is Photography of Columbus: Past and Present and will feature the newly released Seasons of Colorado County photo book published by CHPT and the soon-to-be-released Live Oaks and Dead Folks: Tales and Images from the Nesbitt Memorial Library Cemetery Tour published by the Nesbitt Memorial Library.

Before the presentation, CHPT will announce the 2024 Laura Ann Rau Historic Preservation Award winner. The History Forum is free to attend, and the community is welcome.

 

4th Annual “Have Yourself a Tasty Little Holiday” Online Auction – Wednesday, November 13 through Sunday, November 17

CHPT will hold its 4th Annual “Have Yourself a Tasty Little Holiday” online auction from November 13 – 17. Funds will support CHPT’s “Save Our Opera House” capital campaign and allow the organization to make much-needed repairs to the Stafford Opera House. More than 50 items will be up for auction this year, including delicious homemade treats, holiday meals, gifts and decor, and unique dining experiences. All winning bids will be matched dollar for dollar by a generous friend of CHPT. Bidding will open at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 13, and will close at 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 17.
