BRINGING FRIENDS TOGETHER

Supporting Culture in our Community

Columbus Historical Preservation Trust is proud to host a variety of events throughout the year to encourage fun and fellowship within the community. Whether it’s a family-friendly movie night, presentation about local history, grand gala, or the annual dinner theater presentation, CHPT events are a wonderful way to make new memories or experience new things. CHPT events are open to the public and all are welcomed to attend.

UPCOMING EVENTS

It’s Time to Welcome Warmer Weather

Columbus Historical Preservation Trust will host its 4th Annual “Hop into Spring” Online Auction from April 30-May 4 to support continued restoration projects at the Stafford Opera House.

More than 40 Spring-inspired items donated by local businesses and community members will be up for auction. Included will be unique home décor items, delicious homemade goodies, gourmet dining experiences, amazing artwork and antiques, fun trips and staycations, and other festive things to welcome the sun and warmer days ahead.

Funds from the online auction have been earmarked for costs associated with completing the work on the roof, replacing the Grand Hall A/C, building the 2nd floor bathrooms, finishing the sound system upstairs, and making the building available for performances, rentals, and community events by January 1, 2026.

The auction catalog will be available for viewing on Monday, April 21, at 8:00 a.m. Bidding will open at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 30, and will close at 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 4. View the full auction catalog at https://auctria.events/ChptSpring2025.
